What UK banks review
A UK business bank account application typically reviews: the applicant's identity and residence; the company structure and PSCs; the business summary — what the company does, for whom, in what markets; the expected turnover; and the source of the initial funds.
The dossier
A well-prepared dossier answers those questions before they are asked. Passport and address evidence for each director; a concise business summary matching the company's website and Companies House filing; a source-of-funds narrative; and a clean corporate structure diagram where any group ownership exists.
Consistency across every document
Banks and payment providers compare the application, the Companies House filing, the company website and the founder's LinkedIn. Divergent activity descriptions, mismatched addresses or vague company names cause avoidable friction.
What no adviser can guarantee
Approval sits with the bank. No adviser — us included — can guarantee a specific bank will open a specific account for a specific founder. What we can do is present the application in the form banks expect and give it its best chance.
